my story

how it all began

My love for photography started long before it ever became my career. My mom always had a camera in her hand, documenting the ordinary moments most people never think to save. Somewhere along the way, I realized those moments become the ones we treasure most.

In 2008, I launched Diona Reneé Photography in Georgia, turning my passion into a business built on heart and hard work. When I moved to Florida and married my husband, Chris, we combined our businesses to create DCWilliams Photography, LLC.

Today. I photograph under my DBA, Thistle + Oak – a name that represents the beauty in contrast; strength and softness, wild and rooted, timeless and true. It’s the feeling I strive to bring into every story I tell.
